The divergence of this alternate universe, is Stargate: SG1 season 8.
The Asgard and Tau'ri finally destroy the Replicators. Unfortunately, the massive losses the machines inflicted upon both sides left the Asgard a dying race. No longer able to help the humans, they return to their own galaxy to rebuild.
An alliance between the System Lords turns on Anubis, and with the reluctant aid of SGC manage to overthrow him and destroy his forces. This leaves a power vacuum, but no one Lord is able to maintain dominance and the in-fighting continues as it always has. Despite this, the System Lords have gained a new strength in their traditional ways. The Jaffa rebellion on Dakara fails, Teal'c and Brat'ac are killed. The free Jaffa are slaughtered, and the Goa'uld do not fall.
The humans are worried, the Goa'uld are strong again. Work begins on a new offworld base, the Theta Site, designed as a last resort should Earth be invaded.
After five years of an uneasy truce and with the Asgard powerless, the System Lords attack Earth. With only two ships, the Prometheus and the Daedalus, Earth quickly succumbs to the enemy forces. Little than ten thousand are evacuated through the Stargate. From there, the System Lords discover the locations of the offworld bases and systematically destroy them all. However, the one secret base is never found. Theta Site.
Ever the stubborn race, the Tau'ri begin to rebuild. Theta site contained all the necessary ingredients to begin agian. A new SGC, built underground and a small city surrounding it. And a ship hangar, containing a brand new battlecruiser....
This lush world is uninhabited and is named Triumph, after the new hope for humanity. A new SG-1 is created and the nearby systems explored. Within five years, two more colonies had been built on nearby worlds. A new wing of F-302's is created and placed aboard the battlecruiser. The battleship is of the experimental Vengeance class. The biggest difference in the BC-305's design is its abandonment of much of the Goa'uld technology in favor of Asgard technology, including Asgard shields and an Asgard hyperdrive engine. New weaponry is tested, and the MAC cannon is created. The cannon fires heavy metal ( 5 ton) projectiles using a system of magnetic fields down a long shaft, increasing the projectiles' velocity until they carry an incredible amount of energy. The Vengeance class also carries an arsenal of naqeudah missiles. After testing, it has been discovered strong enough to take up to three Ha'tak vessels at one time. The first battlecruiser is aptly named the Revenge and two others are rushed into production.
Larger, orbital MAC cannons are placed over Triumph and create a militaristic shield over the new Tau'ri homeworld. Two more colonies are founded, bringing the total up to five including Triumph itself. A small city is begun on each, and the colonies are ethnically dictated in an effort to save Earth cultures. They are Chicago, Moscow, Melbourne and London. However, the human seem to have learned from past mistakes. Each colony welcomes any from other races and all have become somewhat multicultural.
Soon, the other two battlecruisers will be completed. The humans have recently come back into contact with the Tok'ra and a small Jaffa resistance. Loose friendships have been established and hopes are high for new allies. Unafilliated freelancers of various worlds have taken to the skies and flourished in a galaxy of conflict. Freighters and small cruisers soar the stars and several have been met. They are of different civilisations, some of which overrun and some which still fight the Goa'uld. With time, they may be of aid to us.
Now it is time. TSG-1 have sadly been killed in an effort to infiltrate a Ha'Tak vessel. Fortunately, the Goa'uld still do not know where Triumph is. A new TSG-1 is being formed. It is time to explore, to find new allies and new technologies. It is time to strike back at the Goa'uld and take back what is ours. It is time for revenge.
